Spaceman Sound is a full-service recording studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
The studio was formed in 2008 and has been in its Greenpoint, Brooklyn location since 2010. Spaceman has been home to many musicians, bands, engineers and producers over the years. The studio’s chief engineer is award-winning sound recordist and mixer Tom Tierney.
We put an emphasis on creative efficiency - how can we get to the sound in your head as quickly and enjoyably as possible? Our diverse collection of microphones, analog gear, instruments, amplifiers and digital tools are available for use by our clients and artists. Many of our instruments stay set up and ready to record, which cuts down setup time - good for creative efficiency and for your budget. Despite all the fun gear and great sounding space, we believe it is the decisions made in a session that make a recording what it is, and we have many years of experience helping make those tough decisions.
